Mental Health in Your Business....Strategies to Protect your Bottom Line
Encompass Training and Consulting will present an engaging overview of mental health conditions in the workplace and their impact on an organization's financial health.
Although mental health conditions are biological, common life events such as taking care of elderly parents, a serious illness in the family, a move to an unfamiliar city to start a new job, a divorce, or the loss of a loved one can result in stress and depression. If these life transitions are left un-addressed, the employee may develop more serious medical or mental health issues that will affect productivity.
There is often a stigma associated with mental health, and many people are afraid to approach their employers to get the help they need because they are afraid of what their colleagues might think, or that they may lose their jobs, especially in the current economy. Participants will learn how to effectively communicate with colleagues and/or employees who may be overwhelmed with these life transitions and need support and guidance on where to get help.
This Mental Health Literacy Training will provide the audience with practical and effective strategies to create a mental health receptive workplace that will improve the health of employees and the financial strength of companies.
