Why Can’t We Just All Get Along?

Imagine a work world where everyone gets along – no disagreements, hurt & angry feelings or drama?  We KNOW that is truly an imaginary world.  Let’s dive into the dynamics of conflict.  We will explore the triggers for conflict, how conflict progresses, five typical behavioral responses to conflict event, the retaliatory cycle of conflict, the role of power in conflict + a mediation model and impasse strategies.  You will walk away with tools, techniques and insights into the conflict management.

Presenter:       Rachel Schaming

Rachel is an organizational and individual change leader, accomplished senior human resource professional with over 30 years or proven success in leading people, processes, systems and cultures in innovative change initiatives.  A graduate of theUniversityofFlorida, Rachel’s career has included human resource and organizational development positions at NASA/Houston, The Texas Medical Center/Houston, twoNew York Citylaw firms and a technology company.  Rachel is currently the Director of Human Resources and a Corporate Coach at Radiology Ltd., a 500-person Tucson, AZ based medical imaging company.

Rachel speaks internationally on organizational management concerns.  She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, the International Coach Federation, a fellow in the American Bar Association Law Practice Management Section and is a Past President of the International Association of Legal Administrators.
